BOARD & TRAIN FAQ
Art of the Dog Can Help!
Our 3-week board and train program offers several advantages over other training methods. With intense daily training sessions, dogs can make rapid progress in a short amount of time. The boarding aspect of the program also allows dogs to receive round-the-clock training and attention, helping to solidify their obedience training. Additionally, owners can rest assured that their dogs are in a safe and comfortable environment while they receive training.
During our program, your pup will receive anywhere from 63 to 105 lessons with a professional dog trainer!
Both of our Board and Train Programs come with a guaranteed lifetime support!
We believe that the training doesn’t end after the 3 weeks conclude. We also believe it is our responsibility to make sure we continue to support you and your dog until the training is going well at home. For this reason, we have a robust, year-long post graduation follow-up process where we proactively reach out to you to make sure things are going well at home. Of course, for the rest of your dog’s life, we will always be here in full capacity to assist you.
One very important detail to know is that once the dogs have learned the training, commands and communication system they will not forget it! Even if you were to not follow through with any of the training, we would be able to get them back on track after a one-on-one private session (of which are unlimited and a part of our lifetime guarantee). Dogs don’t forget the training, but they do learn that breaking the rules is okay if there isn’t any accountability. This is why our lifetime guarantee is so important. If you ever need help, we are always there to make sure things get back on track immediately.
Upon arrival at our academy, each owner will receive a course featuring 12 video lessons that thoroughly explain everything your pup will be learning, and which will help you be prepared for graduation day! At graduation, we will show you everything that we have taught your pup in an in-depth and meticulous way. You will then receive a detailed homework packet that clearly outlines how to reinforce the training for the next 4 months. This homework packet comes complete with a repetition tracker, and is supported by additional video lessons. In addition to everything just listed, Art of the Dog features a year-long, post-graduation follow-up process. You will never feel like you are on an island because we will be actively communicating with you for an entire year post graduation. Finally, for the rest of your dog’s life, we offer unlimited one-on-one private training. We are committed to making sure everyone we work with is successful.
Absolutely, in fact, we always encourage it. Whether it’s before enrollment and during your own research process, or you are dropping your dog off with us, we happily tour you through our facility. We are extremely proud of our academy, and will show you every room in the house. Viewing the training facility, regardless of where you end up training your pup, should be a priority.
Our training facility is located at 1124 S Kalamath St, Denver, Colorado.
We are committed to working with even the most difficult and dangerous dogs. That being said, the words “cure” and “fix” don’t, in our view, accurately describe the dynamic. Instead, we will provide your pup with a new and clear set of expectations, and will hold them accountable to them. We will also give you and your dogs the tools and systems of management to navigate their behavior safely and effectively. Our goal is to help you and your dog live a happy life together. We intend to open doors, some of which may have been closed as a result of their behavior, allowing you and your dog more freedom in life. This project should be viewed as a campaign, for which, we and other companies like us, are the crucial first step.
