I am a balanced dog trainer, meaning I utilize the most efficient and effective techniques that the different camps and training philosophies have to offer. I believe every dog requires a finely calibrated approach and individualized training regimen, and that these approaches differ, depending on the temperament of each individual dog. My goal is to help people have the best possible relationship with their dogs, and to enjoy their lives together.

I am the Head Instructor at Art of the Dog! I have always had a deep passion for dogs and have dedicated a large part of my life to helping them. It didn’t take long for me to turn my love for dogs into my vocation and I have been working with them professionally since 2005. I initially worked in veterinary clinics as a technician, but after 8 years in animal health, I decided to shift my focus toward dogs and more precisely: dog behavior.
Since this career move, I have had the pleasure of working with literally thousands of dogs of all different ages, breeds, and personalities and have helped them recover from anxiety, reactivity, severe human and dog aggression, and everything in between.
Hometown: Denver, Colorado.
Current Dogs:
Ulf (German shepherd)
Misha (Golden retriever mix)
Interests/Activities (other than dog training): Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, reading, and chess.
Specialty: I am Will’s brother (obviously) and am one of the owners and co-founders of Art of the Dog. As Will mentioned in his bio, dogs have always been one of the main sources and objects of love and affection in my life, and I am incredibly excited and grateful to be a part of Art of the Dog, and a cause so meaningful.
I share the same balanced training philosophy as my brother, and believe it’s always important to be open to new information, and to be able to adapt, grow and evolve with the ever-changing field of canine behavioral research and dog-training. I am also involved in advanced K-9 training and competition with my German Shepherd, Ulf.
Outside of training dogs, I spend my time training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and am the general manager at Easton Training Center in Denver, Colorado.
